Launching of the Airborne Infection Defense Platform (AIDP) for a healthier, more resilient ASEAN
The Challenge
On 8 August 2024, the Airborne Infection Defense Platform (AIDP) was officially launched to strengthen ASEAN countries’ tuberculosis (TB) response, health care systems and pandemic preparedness to address the growing issue of airborne respiratory infections. The initiative was inaugurated at a side event of the 16th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting (AHMM).
AIDP’s leadership team needed a Communications partner who can manage media relations and coordinate on-site event, especially to release the press release across 10 ASEAN countries and ensure an effective media coverage.
The Solution
ERA Communications was in charge of disseminating the news across ASEAN. The ERA team coordinated with AIDP’s leadership to organize the launch event in Laos, write and localize the press release in ASEAN languages, pitched the news to tailored media lists and reported on the coverages on a day-to-day basis.
