"Hold On a Minute" Podcast Series
With UNFPA Asia-Pacific
The Challenge
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN’s sexual and reproductive health agency, committed to delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.
To advance and amplify its work and partnerships in Asia and the Pacific, the UNFPA Asia-Pacific Regional Office (APRO) is looking to produce a podcast series to harness the power of storytelling to address a number of these concerns – from ageing to adolescent pregnancy, and beyond.
The Solution
ERA helped from the ideation of the creative concept of the podcast series “Hold on a Minute” to scripting, production, distribution, and amplification. The real-life stories are based on how many in the Asia Pacific may view their lives as following a certain way because that’s just how it is or what society has told them. This may come from the existing social and cultural norms or lack of awareness of choices one can make about their future.
Our podcast challenged the status quo, urging listeners to reconsider their perspectives on life-changing decisions. It brought to life the diverse experiences of individuals across the Asia-Pacific, providing a platform for voices often unheard.
We opted for a multi-platform strategy to ensure broad reach focusing on Meta, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube to ensure the podcast reaches a broad audience, including those in remote or underserved areas, who may benefit most from its content.
