Our client MPT, and the other operators, were facing a huge reputation crisis as international payment gateway scams were on the rise in Myanmar. We were engaged on their behalf through MPT to develop a campaign to educate consumers about how these scams take place and how to protect themselves – since they blamed the operators for the money loss, we had a potential crisis for the whole telecom sector.
We developed a brand agnostic content platform for media and the other brands to use on their social media, print and other media channels. We handled all media outreach and used our deep relationships in media to build a mission of corporate good that media believed in and resulted in tremendous participation and, thankfully, a reduction in the number of victims of such scams.
