With Facebook’s rise to importance in Myanmar, their APAC policy team needed to engage a communications team who understood how to monitor/respond to media and protect their reputation as a force for good in people’s lives.
ERA developed a reactive/ proactive approach to delivering key messaging and addressing important issues facing the platform. We use our media relations skills to drive under- standing of Facebook’s security and reporting measures and raise awareness of community standards. We monitor a range of issues surrounding Facebook and advise as appropriate for a variety of situations/communications. We were a key player in advising and supporting their navigation of the Rohingya/hate speech crisis with local and international audiences.
